Long Ago...

Tue Oct 27, 2009, 3:01 PM
...in a galaxy far away I actually drew shit. Things have gotten out of hand these past few years and I have stopped drawing. Mostly because I felt like I was not as good as the other guy. FUCK THAT!

I started doing more concept art and I filled a sketchbook last year. Hopefully I can start up loading new things that are more traditional. Might start out just doing Remake/ Remodel for a bit, just until I get back into the swing of things.

Man I miss remake/remodel.

ALSO- Nanowrimo is coming up soon. I will be killing myself over it yet again, but if you want you can follow the fun here -----> [link] If you are joining in on the insanity PLEASE add me as a buddy. I love having writing buddies to cheer on and help. I plan on making it to 50k this year because I have less distractions then in years past so it should be fun. I might post it here when it is done, but we will see. I have a really good plot, but it's all true, so I will need to think about it.

21 Random facts about me

Sun Oct 4, 2009, 10:04 PM
Following in the foot steps of a few of my friends, here are 21 facts about me on my 21st birthday.

1- I was born on October 5th at 12.42 am. This was because my father went and had hotdogs with the Doctor so my birthday would not be 10-4. (or okay in trucker) Also for my grandparents because his birthday is 5-5 and my cousin (or evil twin) is 5-10. Also being a HUGE Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan the 42 part makes me smile.

2- Every year since I can remember I have celebrated at 12.42 am with candy or cake of some form, lighting candles, singing to myself, and making a wish. When I think of how my birthdays are I think SIXTEEN CANDLES only things don't work out in the end and everyone really did forget.

3- First birthday greetings and most heartfelt today came from New Zealand by my good friends Gibbo, Lani, and Scotty. Also from my internet husband Caleb.

4- I got my first camera in 2nd grade with 2 rolls of film. One roll was spent documenting my day in class the other on a trip to the Dallas Zoo. I had a fear of getting my fingers in the shot or them not turning out. Low and behold that is what happened. (I still have most of the pictures) Now when people ask me to take their pictures I still have that slight fear, but I am also excited that they asked me.

5- I have a fear of clowns. Spent most summer watching clown movies and that one Episode of ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK to try and get over it. I did not sleep for a month. I still have a horrible fear, but I can hide it more so now.

6- I have a lot of stupid fears. Which I don't share because I am afraid people will make fun of me.

7- I feel naked without my jewelry. Most of which I never take off. Started with a neckless.

8- I own 3 guitars, a keyboard, a harmonica and a flute. I can play a little bit on all. Same goes for Clarinet, drums and violin.

9- Likewise I know just enough french, german, latin, Te Reo, Mandarin, sign language, spanish, hebrew, and italian to get me into trouble.

10- I think I was British in a past life.

11- I started reading X-men comics when I was 3 or so and did not read any DC comics until I was forced to read one senior year of High school.

12- I have not seen the two newest BATMAN films. Because I worked on a very bad Batman fan film and am sick of seeing him.

13- I collect ticket stubs from the movies I have seen. Most proud of having all 3 X-men stubs as well as Wolverine. As well as some of my early screening passes.

14- Last time I broke a bone I was in 10th grade it was my foot. I usually say that I fell 15 feet rock climbing. But really I fell 15 feet in a bounce house obstacle course. The brake was so bad the Doctor had no clue what I actually did until after it healed. I was in a wheelchair so it would have been better if it was just a fall from rock climbing.

15- I have broken every finger and toe at least once, my noes, my foot, my wrist, and my elbow twice. I also sprain my ankle a lot. It is not unusual for something (mostly my legs) to give out and me to fall. This is why my mother told me if I break anything else I am going to be shot behind the house.

16- I have won two awards from rodeo riding. I placed 3rd in a show and a trophy for fastest cattle roping.

17- Highest bowling score is 255. But since my arm has gotten worse over the years it is hard for me to bowl. :(

18- I can be very competitive. Body checked a football player while playing laser tag during after prom. (I love me some laser tag!)

19-I don't know how to ride a bike. I was learning when I broke my arm the first time, then my brother broke my bike.

20- sometimes I can be girly. This includes wearing makeup. (Shock)

21- If I could go back in time I would love to see 1942. I also have a love for fallout shelters. ( I own a sign from one and a period gas mask and bio suit. Also built my schools 50's day bomb shelter.)

Well there you have it. Any questions?

An Experiment.

So I got a LJ...

Not really sure why except to post stories and things. Because I am out of the habit of writing. And Ian gave me the idea to write something new. Which if the Idea tank was full I would have no problem with. But then Joe said something about LJ having blurbs for writing. That made me think about when I was in Creative writing and I miss those days.

So if have a LJ look me up I guess. I had one before and I didn't get all the code stuff and shit. But I will try and keep things interesting.

UPDATE- Just put my first entry up. If it feels a tad rushed that's because it is. My fan in my room just died and well it got really hot really fast.

DO IT

How can I confront a passive aggressive person?

If Hillary is being passive aggressive with me I can:

* point out the behavior that indicates passive aggressiveness on their part.

* point out the inconsistency between their words and actions
.
* pay attention to their actions rather than their words, then give them feedback as to what their actions tell me about their feelings.

* ask for their true feelings reassuring them that there are no right or wrong feelings, and that it is OK to share negative feelings.

* ask them what has them so intimidated that they fear sharing their feelings with me.

* reassure them that we can reach a "win-win'' solution in our communication if we are willing to compromise.

* defuse the competition in our relationship. It doesn't matter "what'' we are discussing as long as we respect how each of us "feels'' about what we are discussing.

* remain open to any negative feelings they have and let them know this.

* begin to trust what they "do'' rather than what they "say'' and let them know that I am doing this.

* make myself more accessible to them.

* help them lessen their fear of rejection from me by reassuring them that I really do care.

This has been a Public Service Announcement.
